Synorb lets an AI agent monitor companies and competitors by following each company's real sources (newsroom, blog, SEC filings and podcast) and returning only what is new, with a link to every source. You save the companies once as a Beacon, and your agent checks it on its own schedule. It connects to Claude, ChatGPT and other agents through an MCP server or a REST API. Synorb publishes this guide.

What competitor monitoring needs

  • The company's own sources, not just third-party coverage: product announcements, pricing changes, hires, filings.
  • Only what changed. A weekly summary of what is new, not a re-read of the whole website.
  • Proof. A link to the original for every item, so you can check before acting.
  • A list you control. Add or drop a company without rebuilding anything.

How Synorb does it

Each company Synorb covers has a Stream that follows its sources: newsroom, blog, filings and podcast. A Beacon is a saved list of Streams with a lookback window. Your agent proposes the Beacon, saves it after you say yes, and runs it daily or weekly. Each run returns Manifests: a short summary for you, the key claims for the agent, and the source link.

Set it up

1. Get a free Synorb Key at synorb.com/connect/start.
2. Add the MCP server https://mcp.synorb.com/mcp to your agent, with the key in the Authorization header.
3. Ask:

Set up a Beacon that tracks our five main competitors' news, blog posts and SEC filings. Show me the proposal first. Then every Monday, send me what changed last week.

Frequently asked questions

Can ChatGPT or Claude monitor my competitors?

Yes, if they are connected to a source that follows those companies, such as Synorb. Synorb never pushes; your agent checks the Beacon whenever you ask or on a schedule you set.

Does it cover private companies?

Yes, where the company publishes a newsroom, blog or podcast. SEC filings apply only to public companies.

How many companies can I track?

A Beacon can cover many Streams. The number of saved Beacons depends on the plan, and every plan includes Beacons.

Is anything saved without my approval?

No. The agent shows the proposed Beacon first and saves it only after you agree.
