Why podcasts are hard for agents
A lot of what executives, investors and founders say first appears in podcasts, not press releases. But an agent cannot listen. A podcast feed gives it a title, a short description and an audio file, which is not enough to answer "what did this CEO say about pricing?".
What to look for
- What was said, in text. The agent needs the substance of the conversation, not just the episode title.
- Who said it, and when. Names and the publication date, so claims can be attributed.
- A link to the episode for anyone who wants to listen.
- Only new episodes. An agent following ten shows should not re-read last week's episodes.
