If you use Claude Cowork, you can add Synorb as a custom connector and then ask Claude for hedge fund Streams, central bank speeches, or SEC filings in plain English. It takes about five minutes and needs one thing: your tokenized connector URL.

Before you start

  • A Synorb account. The free Starter plan is enough.
  • A Claude account that can add custom connectors. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner may have to add the connector for the organization first. See the note at the end.

Step 1: Find your connector URL in your welcome email

When you signed up, Synorb emailed you a Synorb Key and two MCP URLs. Search your inbox for the welcome email from Synorb and copy the MCP URL (Core). It ends in ?token= followed by your key. In older emails the same URL is labeled “Legacy SSE URL.” Use it anyway; it is the URL to paste into Claude.

The URL includes your Synorb Key, so treat it like a password. Do not paste it into a chat or share it in a screenshot.

Can't find the email?

Log in at synorb.com, open Account → Access, and choose Revoke & Issue New Key. Then copy the new connector URL.

Heads up: issuing a new key immediately revokes your old one. If you already connected an agent with the old key, update it with the new one.

Step 2: Add a custom connector in Claude

In Claude, open Customize → Connectors. Click the + button and choose Add custom connector.

Step 3: Name it and paste the URL

In the Add custom connector box, enter Synorb as the name. Paste your MCP URL (Core) into the MCP server URL field, then click Continue.

Step 4: Turn it on and ask a question

Connectors are not on in every conversation by default. In a new chat, click the + button, open Connectors, and switch Synorb on. Then try:

List all hedge fund Streams I have access to, then pull the last 7 days of Manifests from them.

Claude will list the matching Streams and pull Manifests over any time frame you name. Every Manifest links back to its source.

If you can't add custom connectors

  • Work or school Claude account. Your organization may not allow custom connectors. On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner adds the connector under Organization settings → Connectors, and members then click Connect. Ask your admin, or try a personal Claude account.
  • Strict corporate network. Your network must allow mcp.synorb.com and api.synorb.com on port 443. If it does not, ask IT, or connect from a different network.
  • No MCP at all. The same Synorb Key works with the REST API at api.synorb.com. See the API docs.

Using Synorb with other agents

With a personal agent such as Instinct or Muse, you can simply say: “Connect with Synorb and list hedge fund Streams.” Tell it you already have an account and give it your Synorb Key. Agents can also create their own account, but those accounts expire after 72 hours unless you bind an email to them.
