A month ago, in Focus, we said we would take our library of AI company Streams from about 200 to 1,000 over the next few weeks.

We are there. Synorb now covers more than 1,000 AI companies, each as its own Stream that an agent can watch. On November 4, 2026, we counted 1,104 live AI company Streams, and we are still adding more.

Too much is shipping for any one person

Every week, hundreds of AI companies publish something. A new model. A new product. A price change. A research paper. A partnership. A changelog entry that turns out to matter more than the launch event.

If you invest in AI, build with it, sell to it or write about it, you already know the result. You cannot read all of it. So you pick a short list of companies and hope that the important news comes from one of them. Often it does not.

This is not a reading-speed problem. The amount being published is set by the companies, not by you.

Agents do not run out of attention

An agent can read every company on a list of a thousand, every day, and not get tired. It does not skip the small company that it has not heard of. It does not lose the thread on a busy week.

That changes your job. You no longer have to decide in advance which companies to follow. Your agent does the groundwork: it reads everything, skips what you have already seen, and brings back only what matters to you. You spend your time on the part that needs you: deciding what it means and what to do next.

To do that, an agent needs something to read that is current, structured and tied to its source. That is the part we build.

What is in the library

Each AI company Stream follows what that company publishes itself: its blog, research, announcements and product updates. Synorb delivers each new item as a Manifest: a Brief that says what happened, Signals with the key claims, and a link back to the original source.

The AI Companies market map places each company once, in its main segment. There are 14 segments:

  • Platforms: Big Tech Platforms.
  • Infrastructure: Compute & Hardware, Foundation Models, Data & Training, Model Ops & LLMOps, and Agent Infrastructure.
  • Building and securing AI: Coding & Software Engineering, and AI Security & Governance.
  • Applications: Enterprise Apps, Industry Apps, Generative Media & Voice, and Consumer AI.
  • Beyond software: Physical AI & Robotics, and AI for Science & Bio.

The library covers the large platforms, the labs, the infrastructure companies, the application builders and the young teams that you will read about next year.

How your agent uses it

Start with the AI Companies Beacon. Every new Synorb account starts with a starter Beacon called AI Companies. A Beacon is a saved watch: what to follow, how many items to return, and a default time window. The AI Companies Beacon covers the whole AI Companies Surface, not a fixed list, so the Streams that we add appear in it too.

Narrow it when you want to. Ask your agent to find the Streams for one part of the map, for example coding tools or AI security companies, and save them as a narrower Beacon after you say yes.

Pull on your own schedule. Synorb never pushes and never runs a schedule for you. Your agent pulls the Beacon when it wants to, every morning or on demand, with its own lookback window. It skips anything it has already seen by Manifest ID. You can ask:

Every morning, run my AI Companies Beacon for the last 24 hours and tell me the five items that matter most to me, with links.

Your agent connects through MCP at https://mcp.synorb.com/mcp, or through the REST API, where a Beacon runs with POST /manifests/query and its beacon_id. Because Synorb sends only source-linked items, your agent uses up to 92% fewer tokens than with web search, for the same context.

Or give your agent a Skill

A Skill is a set of instructions that your agent reads once. It then knows how to do one job with a Beacon. The Skill for this library is Launch Radar. It reads the AI Companies Beacon and keeps only real launches: models, products, pricing, partnerships and funding. It ranks them for your stack, your roadmap or your research question, and it links each item to the company’s own announcement.

Paste this sentence into your agent:

Read https://synorb.com/skills/launch-radar.md and follow it to set up a weekly radar of what AI companies ship.

The first radar is the setup run. Your agent then asks you for the schedule, for example every Sunday evening. Each later radar lists only the launches that it did not report before. Each item is the company’s own announcement, and the radar says so.

What it costs to try

  • 72 Hour Agent Demo: no email needed. The key lasts 72 hours, can pull up to 25 Manifests, and comes with the five starter Beacons, AI Companies included.
  • Starter plan: free, with an email. It gives 100 Manifests per usage period and 10 Beacons.

Get a key at synorb.com/connect/start. Each pull reads Manifests, which count against your plan's allowance.

Why AI companies first

AI is where news moves fastest, and where the gap between what a person can read and what is worth reading is widest. Many of the people who use Synorb today are investors and founders who work in AI, so this is where we went deepest first. The same approach will carry to the other areas we cover.

You do not need to read everything. You need an agent that does, and that tells you what you should care about.
